There was never a third rule.

When we talk about rule some may think I am willing to talk on politics here. Understanding politics and the political play is not the subject matter of this discussion. I would rather share one of my fantastic experiences, which gave me an extraordinary insight during 2000. Though a tiny experience but it created a big impact and moved my thinking into its next level. We all know learning never ends, the famous Sattyajat Ray in death bed said, it is an extreme climax. My professional Guru, Devjit sarker use to give hand made computer printout cards saying “Let everyday become a learning experience”. I remember his say and the event I am about to express here is related with that learning part.
In my early time in Job, it was Devjit sarker who found some excellence in me so even there were people who were unwilling but he pulled me from Dhaka to Sylhet NIIT where I served as a Faculty on Computer training. So far so good there was a vacancy and I could adopt there with no trouble at all. Being that one of my entry time jobs, two person’s active support can never be forgotten, they are none other than Shahed Ahmed and Oniesimus Chowdhury. The story is not about Shahed Ahmed bhi or Onie either. My time in Sylhet NIIT was a kind of challenge to my family on proving that I can live alone without any support from family, in that aspect I proved myself to be successful. I still remember how much I enjoyed the stay in Sylhet. The whether, the people, the riksha jam in roads all were enjoyable, not to mention the worm hearten Shahed vi, His worm presence and hectic charismatic personality is still a unique example in my mind.
During the job in NIIT I went through few minor organizational changes, I enjoyed each and everyone of them, one of such change was 1st software expo in Sylhet. There was an Indian young pal who came to arrange the expo as event manager from the Mother Concern CTG-NIIT running under finance of KDS, along with him came two technical experts, a software exhibition was to be organized and they were the active support personnel on organizing it. I knew afterwards, they were there to supervise the center as well and report back to Devgit Sarker as explaining entire condition of the center. The young Indian pal, who was highly charismatic and in one instance he was serious and showing us many of our mistakes and suggesting with alternatives. In one such instance he asked a question which made me realize a crucial issue which I will never forget. It isn’t that I accept him as highly efficient personnel, it is that, his way of conducting the audit and corrective measures showed me that in time we need to act upon in certain mood.
I have forgotten the reasons why he was so much shouting but I remember only the part which stroked my thinking, “Do you know that there are only two rules in the world?” I was out of no where, I asked what they are, He said the first rule is “follow me”, I understood that part, now what is the second rule, I was waiting to hear the answer, but he took a pause and not saying a word, I asked him what is the second rule? …….. No answer!! He was in a pause, after a while he said “Follow the first rule”. !! I was in shock!! well said, yes there is and will never be a third rule ever again, because there is basically only one rule that a person can think off, that is follow me and follow me only.
This is the arrogant leadership in human mind, possesses in their core mind. I have seen people can’t control their emotion, saying “I made it” or see what what achievement I had in my life time, as if others will look at him with a wonder. Knowing not that, his achievement are as similar with many others and those are as well surprising and equally mentionable. Human has an in-depth complex to express their achievement in a way that he seeks appreciations from others as if to certify that those were the only thing to do in this material world. Many people I have found can’t summarize their achievement without emotion; with huge amount of emotion they become blur and fail to see the truth behind it. There are people who use emotion to reach a conclusive judgement, not to mention their judgement reaches another emotional ocean and never the center of appropriation.
I made it, I did it, I am the one or else it would have never been solved, see how wonderful I may be, and I am the only one unique and you won’t find any body else except me as the best. These are the general demands of their vital energy. Therefore the rule which says follow me and follow me only is to some extent primitive and inbuilt into our Nature. In my child hood I had two close friends, a brother with his sister, the brother was dominant and he used to dominate me. Like I had a logo toy and he use to rule me not to play with it, even if I would have agreed upon his say, he would make sure that I have thrown it out so that I make him sure that I have given up my intention to play with it when he is not there. Exactly in this point I would disagree, whether it is the deep down demand of dominate another, pulling him out of his will or pushing him to something which he do not agree is simply abuse to my understanding. It is the nature of oppression and surely a torture to the soul. It is natural that a core mind will try to be the best above all and will ask for appreciations (follow me and only follow me) but a cultured core mind, a nurtured core mind with its wisdom will know, no matter how better I maybe another will grow up and it is much more appropriate to think we are best of all and we share unique excellence in us. There will always be only two rules in the world and there was never a third rule ever.
