I had to prepare a
lecture on Aquidah to be delivered in Gulsan circle during 2005. Some of my
well wishers prepared me to give the lecture in Gulsan circle on a topic of
which I wasn’t ready for. If you give me a topic which is in my area of
expertise, no matter how tough it is, I can keep talking in front of audience and
would feel happy to share what I know on it, but the topic which I was about to
present in Gulsan circle wasn’t like I know much on it, yes I know the basic,
but not the entire subject matter thoroughly. Moreover my appearance do not fit
to be speaking on such a religious matter at all. Even then I had been told to
be prepared.
It took a while to prepare
myself for the day, the subject was to explain the link between the creed of
Islam and the mind set of general people. The core objective was to show that there
can be three specific type of mindset possible in terms of ideology or philosophy.
Under all circumstance anyone can’t escape falling into either of the three and
all his activity shapes up on which mind set he is agreeing to accept. From
that point of view I would then explain how a Muslim (religious) mindset is
much better from the other two. The entire lecture was so much well thought
that I wrote it and nearly memorized it.
Here I am not willing to revise
the entire lecture rather wish to point out the missing and hidden traps I
didn’t mention in that lecture, I didn’t speak out there as I didn’t know it in
that time but I am clear of it now. The three specific mindset was like (1) A
person believing that there is no hereafter (2) Person believing that there is
hereafter eternal life and all task here has a link with hereafter (3) Person
believing that though there is hereafter that has nothing to do with here
matters.
First sect believe that
there is no hereafter therefore he will try to do anything and everything to
achieve within his life time, his approach towards task completion is different
to the other two as he has nothing to worry about hereafter count ability.
Second set is completely
religious, believes that what ever happens in here has a resultant in
hereafter. Therefore they are always aware of the accountability and do not do
anything that might put him in problem hereafter.
The third set, believing
or having trust in God thinks that his rules do not actually apply to his life
here as individuals are sovereign to their own lifestyle and free will. This
freedom of will and no boundary type thinking makes a person secular and though
he may accept religion as a reason to this existence or reality but do not let
religion rule his life or blockade his free will. The third sect’s active
approach towards work accomplishment is nearer to the first sect who is a
complete atheist, non believer of a supernatural grand designer and sustainer.
Set 2 are religious and
has some sort of concrete belief over the existing reality as a result of
spiritual consequences. The supreme spirit on his own will created this entire
universe and maintaining it for his own reasons beyond of human understanding.
The religious people work by thinking its aftereffects here and hereafter. We
were to conclude here that there are no other possible mind sets possible and
we have to choose among this given three. And we proved that the religious mind
set is more logical and more appropriate for a human lifestyle.
Few years after, it isn’t
days or weeks or months, I figured out that there is a trap door to this three
mindsets, it is hidden so we failed to discover it during that time. The trap
is like this, Say for example you are religious and you are a practicing pious
person, too some extent you go wrong and somewhere you made lot of mistakes and
understand that the sin you have achieved is enough to put you in hellfire
forever. What will that person’s mind set be then? He might fall into the trap
thinking that, what has happened can’t be reversible so hell is his ultimate
eternal home, and he will then act simply like that person of set-1, thinking
this life is all he has and what will and if may happen hereafter that can be
ignored right now.
there is another hidden
trap with two levels, this is what I have recently realized. People around us
are of many types, some are not willing to go for deep thinking, and there are some
who can’t think at all. These people when goes for the primary question solving
falls into huge problem, in such case if someone comes up with a ready food,
they can eat it easily. these people follow pir-fakir-the people who enslave
others by their own understanding about Man-life-universe, and they make others
obey them like possessing a prophet hood. Most of their followers are ignorant
and foolish indeed. These people become like religious but basically it’s a falls
religion they are following by following a clever man’s say. this clever man
knows the religion and use it to enslave others. though acts religious they
form a kind of clan or tribe.
Now lets talk on the
people who are literate and knowledgeable, those who are established in society
as learned and smart job holders. Among these people some again have less
ability on deep or enlighten thinking. They look for shortcuts to the primary
query about man life and the universe, why and how this is all happening and
what was before and what will be after life? They can’t answer them and when
they find a ready made answer script they go for it. As like we have to pass an
exam so lets find a guide book avoiding the original text books. Now a day
students read those guide books where most probable question’s answer are
readily given. As this was there student life exam preparation habit, they look
for to do the same on the final exam of Life, they look for guide book, ready
made and has to put faith without questioning. The primary condition of the
book is so and so that you can’t ask why and why not, your thinking needs no
fuel and do not even it needs to run, just accept it blindly and follow the rules,
you will pass the exam. These people are also religious and by default falls
into the trap of falsehood.
We now have two new
specific mindset one is blind followers and the other is the shortcut seekers.
Both of this group fall under trap of being religious but basically they are
same as the third set, where we explained that religion maybe there but that has
nothing to do with this lifestyle. Blind flowers are victim of a clever man
(pir, fakir, or a hujur), the smart pals who seek shortcuts to heaven believe
that their path is okay to enter heaven today or tomorrow after death. Some
follow the social trends and some becomes grumpy on their own findings to be
the absolute truth.
Question comes now who
are then the true pious and or religious people? During my early time in SBL
Mathab Uddin sir called me and said you are preaching Islam and it isn’t a new
religion, he said that there is nothing new in Islam, I in controversy and said
“Sir, with due respect, I would say that there is nothing old in Islam”, He
agreed on the say. Islam is ever fresh and never looks old inline with sublime
attributes of reality, this concept truly makes it up-to-date with all humanly
activity. A Hindu knows about Brammon and Atton, the critical analysis on “the appearance”
and “the thing in itself” paradox of the Nature, A true Buddhist knows about
the Nirvana and about Siddhi orgon after a heard struggle. The true Atheist
knows the rules of Nature, increasing quantity at a point will get qualitative
transformation as a natural selection of survival of the fittest.
Transformation happens when it may over ride all its obstacle or in their terms
“birodhi somagom” and after a while there will be “the Negation of the Negation”.
The Negation of Negation and the Nirbana or siddhi orgon is closer concept, as
far as I can think of. Nether Atheism nor Buddhism explained what was before
and what is afterlife, Atheism looks by a scientific binocular and Buddhism
looks into the Nature by “Ahinsh Prom dhormo” binocular.
In Semitic religions it
is different, after Nuh AM a new trend started and Jerusalem is the oldest
civilization or the City we can think off, the Jews were learned and cultured
people, From Jews and Christians, we see Rome was a super power and to its supremacy
Christianity was a threat. Jesus Christ came only to be the savior of Jews and
not for the entire mankind, Mohammad SAW was the last chance for Jews to accept
their prayer for a savoir, they failed to recognize him. Now question may come
why then Christians spread worldwide like a political web, if you have inner eyes
you will see they spread their churches with a high level planning, each church
has a school and they put their roots into the ethnic group of people. Where as
in case of Muslim we see mosques in ever lane, even in side by roads there are
several mosques it seems like Mosques are built with no specific plans. It is
built on ad hoc basis, like someone has money so build a mosque and your path
to Junnah is so much clear. Buddhist temples as well as Hindu temples are also
built with planning, it seems like core religious peoples are playing some sort
of political game and competing among each other to spread up. So far so now a
day social media is also in this sort of spread up game, soon we might find
online version of mosques, churches and temples as well, who knows.
A true religious person
is a true seeker of the answer on what was before, why is now and what will be
after. A person with thoughtfulness and with a burning query in mind during his
youth and for sure and at middle age he will come up with a conclusive summary.
This conviction which we call the Aquidah in Islam is the calm state of mind or
Mutma-inna state of mind, the Buddhist monarch’s also seek this tranquil state.
Any religious person shall reach this state by long way or by a short cut,
question is have he ever gone through an internal brain storming. Whether
reaching that state was by his own thinking or by following another. If you
say, what is wrong if I follow a wise man and be like him so I be correct too.
This is simply impossible in terms of human, every human is unique in his mind,
every mind is unique in its thinking ability, every mind has its own reasoning
procedures, if he or she do not engage that process to reach the tranquil state
then I would say that his blind faith in anything to be correct is a falsehood.
You can imitate and claim that it is true, but imitation never be the original.
A religion makes every person originally correct and not artificially correct.
As I said before religion
is an encyclopedia of all question’s answer, ready made and easy to adopt as
absolute truth. But before believing in a religion if you aren’t trough your
own thinking process, it is never original in nature. So the first sect, who
thinks there is no afterlife, who will do anything to achieve his objective
within this lifetime, his active character shall differ with a person with a belief
of an afterlife, the person who believes in afterlife still thinks it is not
necessary to connect this life with its afterlife is impractically avoiding
truthfulness in thinking. They are deceiving themselves with their own
thinking. One may choose sect 1 and or sect 2, Sect 3 is not at all wise to
agree upon. And the traps, being religious thinking that enough sin has been
done so no mercy, lets go to hell and prepare for hell and achieve all in here
and here only, I would say refresh all your thoughts and choose among sect1 or
sect2. And those who thinks without thinking and blindly following is the basis
of any religion, He is living in fools world. The purpose of religion is to
purify human race and not make them blind followers of any doctrine.
“What I believe? That is
none of your business, it is my personal matter and leave it with me, don’t ask
why I do so” this mind set is purely secular mindset, it says, I have the the
unlimited freedom to believe on anything I want, is one of the four pillars of
democracy-capitalism-secularism. And now see what Muslim does with five pillars
of them, ask many of them who can’t answer what is the first pillar? Some will
say it is Shahadah, some will say it is the Aquidah very few will say it is the
complete conviction (Tasdigh Jaseem) and reaching the conviction without any
doubt through his own thinking ability. Among other four pillars, Salah, Siom,
Hajj, Zakat, Salah is like attendance to the supreme, like standing before him,
Kiam-ruku-tashahood and Seejdah, five times daily the proof of Tasdigh jaseem,
application of the complete conviction into active proof is like signing in the
register to follow and apply Islam in life and in society up to state, now
these pious Muslims prioritize the attendance register so much that forgot the
actual job, rather signing the register has become the only job. Say for
example, I sign the attendance register of the office every morning, if I think
that signing the register is my job, then think what will happen to the
organization. Now the third pillar Ramadan, in the month of Ramadan you will
find mosque overloaded, why? Why not in other times? And this month’s end is a
Eid festival, some how some one in some point of time, misinterpreted it by
saying the calendar is moon dependent so it shall differ place to place, I
would ask you One Ummah, how come be active with a floating calendar, one
festive for entire Ummah but now it is in different day for different place,
isn’t that enough funny and misleading? Who can ask, as if you ask, you are labeled
to be a disbeliever. Performing Hajj is okay and even today there are politics
with it. And about Zakat the fifth pillar, In Qur’an the Aya’s on Salah came
with the Aya’s of Zakat, to be precise, it says, Salat Kayem koro and Zakat
Addy koro, it ordered to establish Salat in society and told to collect Zakat.
The concept they practice now completely reverse. they perform salah
individually though standing in rows, it isn’t anymore an active ingredients to
forming and maintaining a society, and to collect zakat you need a authority,
when there is no society how can there be a authority to collect zakat, so they
give zakat on their own will to poor. All four pillars of Islam has been
reversed or misinterpreted by its preachers. Because of the blind flowers and
the tendency to not think or question any issues. Ijtihad stopped and thus
everything regarding growth stopped in Islam. The ever green religion became
producer of aggressive people and terrorists who claims to establish peace by
using terror. In my view point they are the fools of the fools. The religion to
establish tranquility among mankind reversed its agenda to terrorize people and
capture power. This wasn’t Islam’s object or agenda what so ever in its
original time. Being religious or not; nothing actually matters in this
global village, everyone follow the general trend. As I have explained in “why
people prefer being secular” everyone is some what accepting being secular
knowingly or unknowingly. As because you are abide by the system and as you can’t
stand alone against the flow.
